From unboxing to mining in minutes

This guide walks you through setting up your HAKO METAL Genesis miner, connecting to the Abelian mining pool, and tracking your rewards.

Prerequisites

HAKO METAL Genesis device
12V Power adapter (included with your device, or use a compatible one)
Abelian wallet address — download the official Abelian mobile app and copy your ABEL receiving address
Stable Wi-Fi network (the miner connects wirelessly — no Ethernet needed)

Setup Steps

  1. 1Connect the OLED screen to the miner board (if not already attached).
  2. 2Plug the 12V power adapter into the miner.
  3. 3After powering on, in about 20 seconds, the screen will display a WiFi SSID.

  1. 1On your phone or computer, go to Wi-Fi settings.
  2. 2Look for a network named HAKOMETAL_XXXX (XXXX = random digits).
  3. 3Connect to this network. A setup page will pop up automatically.
  1. 1In the pop-up window, navigate to Network in the left panel.
  2. 2Enter your home WiFi SSID (2.4GHz only) and password.
  3. 3Click Save, then Restart.
  4. 4The miner will restart and connect to your home WiFi.
  5. 5The OLED screen will display an IP address.
Note: From now on, the miner will automatically reconnect to your home WiFi whenever it powers on.
  1. 1On your computer, visit https://abel-nakamoto.xyz/.
  2. 2Register and go to Settings, and click Add Account.
  3. 3Fill in the form: Tag (Name) e.g. myABELminer, Description (optional), and your ABEL wallet address from the Abelian mobile app.
  4. 4Click Submit.
  5. 5Once added, you will see your pool credentials including Username and Password — copy both for the next step.
  1. 1Make sure your computer is connected to the same WiFi network as the mining machine.
  2. 2Open a web browser (e.g. Google Chrome) and enter the mining machine's IP address displayed on the OLED screen.
  3. 3Go to the Pool Setting tab.
  4. 4Fill in the Username and Password.
  5. 5Click Save and Restart.
  1. 1The miner is now mining. Mining Rewards are calculated based on the shares contributed to the pool.
  2. 2Log in to https://abel-nakamoto.xyz/account/dashboard to view: Current Balance (unpaid ABEL), Total Mined, Payout history, and Estimated next payout.
  3. 3Default payout threshold: 5 ABEL. Once your balance reaches 5 ABEL, the pool will automatically send the rewards to your wallet.
  4. 4Verify transactions on the explorer: https://explorer.pqabelian.io.

Tips & Troubleshooting

No Wi-Fi hotspot appears

Press and hold the BOOT button for 5–10 seconds to force hotspot mode.

IP address changed

Check the OLED screen for the latest IP.

Hashrate is 0 or no shares

Check the Logs tab. Verify Username and Password. Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is stable.

Security

Never share: Pool username/password, Wallet private keys.
